MAHLE Industriefiltration took second place in the Innovation Award at POWTECH 2008.
The Innovation Award for the best product novelties in the industry was awarded for the second time at POWTECH 2008, the international trade show for mechanical process technology and analysis, in Nuremberg, Germany. The innovative conical Quick-Lock element from MAHLE Industriefiltration, with a rotating wing, took second place in the category of apparatus engineering. The technical jury from PROCESS and its sister publication, Schüttgut, awarded a prize in four categories: apparatus engineering, process components, material analysis and characterization, and pharmaceutical engineering. The following criteria were used in awarding the prize:
- the level of innovation
- the economic efficiency for the user
- the timeliness: the development was not allowed to be more than one year old
The product also had to be exhibited at trade shows, as well as be available with a short lead time right away.
For the second Innovation Award, as was the case the first time, the high quality of the 50 submitted entries made the job difficult for the technical jury. The four 1st place and eight 2nd and 3rd place winners were presented at POWTECH on the evening of September 30, 2008, during the official award presentation.
The MAHLE Group is one of the 30 largest automotive suppliers worldwide.
